Seattle Fish Co. is a founding partner of SeaPact, a non-profit organization comprised of seafood leaders, suppliers and distributors who are all focused on making a difference in seafood sustainability.  Every few months SeaPact awards grants to Fishery Improvement Projects throughout the world.  The most recent round of grants were just awarded to two inspiring FIPs.

  The first is the WWF Chilean Farmed Salmon AIP, which is aiding fisheries to credibly transition salmon production towards meeting the ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) standard.  The second grant recipient is the UNT Probiotics Project.  This grant supports the research in the effectiveness of probiotics compared to antibiotics in fish feed to increase the fish’s health and growth speed.
