COMING IN AUGUST: Sustainable Seafood Denver 2015

Seattle Fish Co. is Colorado’s first and only seafood distributor with a “business collaborator” relationship with the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program. This means we’ve made a commitment to identify, track and improve the sustainability of our products, engage in educational outreach and provide accurate Seafood Watch information to our customers.  Because of our relationship we have decided to partner and host a one-of-a-kind sustainability event this August called “Sustainable Seafood Denver”.   Join thought leaders, industry professionals, chefs and seafood influencers from across the country in our very own city! Below are the details for the two events and how you can get involved.

Seafood Uncovered: Success Stories and New Sources

August 26th, 2015 from 2-4pm

History of Colorado Center in the MDC/Terrace Room at 1200 Broadway

Learn what’s new in sustainable seafood and how more than a dozen species are set to become the new ocean-friendly flavor of Denver’s restaurant scene.  An interactive presentation and tasting will give you a chance to try several of these newly recommended, delicious, menu-worthy seafood items. Sponsored by Seattle Fish Co., Service Systems Associates, and Seafood Watch. This is a free industry event, but spots are limited so RSVP today by emailing Janelle Riess at jriess@mbayaq.org by August 18.
