This past Tuesday was a seafood-filled afternoon for the books. Strand Foods showcased their full line of specialty seafood products including Loch Etive Steelhead, Levantina Bream, Bali Barramundi and Levantina European Sea Bass for a group of Colorado chefs. They flew out their LA-based sushi chef, Kenji Jampathong to join forces with Sarto’s executive chef James Rugile and serve a multi-course seafood lunch. The private luncheon at Sarto’s was an educational afternoon for chefs to connect to their source. The chefs left with an in-depth understanding of the farming operations and sustainability of these four specialty fish exclusively available in the area through Seattle Fish Co.
