Taste of Denver: The 118th AFDO Annual Educational Conference

The 2014 AFDO (Association of Food and Drug Officials) Annual Educational Conference came to the Mile High City this year! The conference was co-hosted by the Western Association of Food and Drug Officials, and our very own Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager for SFC, Ken Boyer, led a Seafood HACCP Training Session. Additionally, Seattle Fish Co. hosted a culinary event for the conference attendees. The Monday night event was a one-stop passport to a true foodie journey! We all enjoyed a relaxing evening of music, friends and beautiful scenery while sipping and sampling offerings from some of Denver’s finest chefs, brewers and distillers. The views of Denver City Park Pavilion were just beautiful! We were thrilled to show the AFDO Conference crew what Denver’s amazing culinary scene has to offer. Many thanks to our participating chefs and restaurants who donated their time and talent to this event including, Chef Brandon Foster and Team of Steuben’s and ACE Eat Serve, Chef Stephen McCary and Team of Mizuna, Chef Danny Flannagan and Team of Sanctuary Golf Course, Chef Jason Morse of 5280 Culinary and his Colorado ACF Apprentice Team, Chef Kurt Eichenburger and Team of City O City, Chef Aaron Bernstein and Team of Panzano, Chef Brandon Muncy and Team of The Lobby, and Johnson and Wales University for their delectable chocolate truffles.
