Seattle Fish Company has long supported the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) and was thrilled to be a title sponsor for this year's (17th annual) Black Diamond Ball, which took place on October 22 at Invesco Field at Mile High. The event celebrates individuals and companies who have been instrumental to the success of the NSCD over the past 40 years and also kicked off the winter season as many old and new athletes prepare to take to the ski slopes. The evening featured inspirational stories, dueling piano’s, and celebrity chefs who prepared a culinary adventure for attendees. Seattle Fish Company would like to thank those chefs that donated their time and talent including Chef Paul C. Reilly, Encore on Colfax; Chef Matt Mine, The Oceanaire Seafood Room; Chef Dan Grunewald, North; Chef Brandon Foster, Vesta Dipping Grill; Chef Miki Hashimoto, Restaurant Japon; Chef Ian Kleinman, The Inventing Room; and Chef Aaron Whitcomb, Yia Yia’s. It was a truly memorable event!
All proceeds from this event benefit NSCD, which is among the largest adapted sports and outdoor therapeutic recreation programs in the world. Each year, through the NSCD, children and adults with disabilities take to the ski slopes, rivers, mountain trials and golf links to learn more about sports - and themselves.
