Derek Figueroa is the Chief Operating Officer and responsible for strategic and operational leadership as well as the internal champion for sustainability initiatives within Seattle Fish Company. 

Passionate about sustainable business practices—both within the industry and within the company’s own operations—Derek advanced the formation of the Seattle Fish Company ‘Green Team’, adoption of sustainable seafood policies and numerous green operational improvements. Derek has also positioned himself as an industry leader and resource, presenting at a multitude of the industry’s premier conferences as well as actively serving on influential boards including the National Fisheries Institute, Project Angel Heart, Colorado Restaurant Association, Colorado Restaurant Association Education Foundation, American Culinary Federation Colorado Chefs Association and the Seafood Industry Research Fund.
